Clarksville Recovery maintains a safe, structured, and supportive living environment aimed at long-term sobriety, accountability, and life stability. This policy outlines the expectations for visitation, off-site movement, overnight passes, behavioral restrictions, and consequences for violations.
This policy applies to all residents of Clarksville Recovery.

2. Visitor Rules
2.1 Basic Visitor Rules
• Visitors can only stay in living room or common areas.
• Visitors cannot go into bedrooms.
• No visitors can stay overnight.
• Visitors cannot use drugs or alcohol.
• Residents must make sure their visitors behave.
• Staff can end a visit at any time.
2.2 Who Can Visit
• Family
• Children
• Sponsor or mentor
• Friends who are sober and safe
2.3 Visiting Hours
• Saturday & Sunday: 1 PM–5 PM
• Work, legal, or medical visits may happen at other times if staff says yes.

3. Leaving the House (Very Relaxed Rules)
If you are not on a 15-day restriction:
✔ You may leave the house anytime during the day.
✔ You do NOT need to ask staff before you leave.
✔ You only need to sign out and sign back in.
You may leave for:
• Work
• School
• Meetings
• Church
• Grocery store
• Gym or exercise
• Family visits
• Errands
• Appointments
• Time in the community

4. Sign-Out Sheet (Required for Everyone)
When you leave the house, you must write:
• What time you left
• What time you think you will be back
• Where you are going
• Your phone number
When you come back, sign in again.
This is the only requirement for residents who are NOT on restriction.

5. Curfew
• You must be home by 10:00 PM every night.
• If work makes you late, staff can approve it.
• If you are late many times, you may get a 15-day restriction.

6. Overnight Passes (Must Be Approved)
Overnight passes are a special privilege.
You must ALWAYS get staff approval before staying away overnight.
You must:
• Be in the program for at least 60 days
• Be sober
• Be caught up on fees
• Stay somewhere safe and drug-free
Before leaving, you must:
1. Ask staff for approval
2. Take a drug test
3. Tell staff where you will stay and who you will be with
When you return, you must:
• Take another drug test
• Sign back in
• Follow normal curfew again
You cannot get an overnight pass if you are on restriction.

7. 15-Day Restriction
Sometimes a resident may get a 15-day restriction if they break rules or act unsafe.
7.1 Why Someone May Get a Restriction
• Lying
• Coming home late
• Causing problems
• Not following rules
• Acting like they might be using drugs
• Fighting or starting arguments
7.2 Rules During Restriction
If you are on restriction:
• You MUST tell staff every time you leave
• You MUST get permission to leave
• You can only leave for important things (work, doctor, court, meetings)
• You may be drug tested more often
• You must follow stricter rules
No overnight passes during restriction.
7.3 When Restriction Ends
If you follow all rules for 15 days:
• Your normal freedom comes back
• You no longer need to talk to staff before leaving
• You may take passes again (with overnight approval when needed)

8. Breaking the Rules (Consequences)
If a resident breaks the rules, they may:
• Be put on a 15-day restriction
• Lose some privileges
• Be tested more often
• Be removed from the program
Serious rule-breaking may cause removal from the house.
This includes:
• Bringing drugs or alcohol to the house
• Using drugs or alcohol
• Fighting or threatening people
• Tampering with drug tests
• Bringing unsafe people into the house
• Staying away overnight without permission
• Anything that makes the house unsafe

• Probation, court, or caseworker visits may happen anytime.
• Visits with children must happen in common areas and be safe.

Residents must:

• Avoid people or places with drugs or alcohol
